Bohunt School Horsham – Reception Refurbishment
Project Overview
APAC Installations Ltd. carried out refurbishment works to the main reception area at Bohunt School Horsham, creating a more practical and professional front-of-house environment.
The project involved altering the existing reception opening, making good the surrounding finishes, preparing the area for the new layout and installing a bespoke reception counter with integrated workstation and storage.
Scope of Works
The works carried out by APAC Installations Ltd. included:
- Alteration of the existing reception opening
- Removal of existing glazing and associated elements
- Making good surrounding walls and finishes
- Preparation of the reception area for the new layout
- Decoration and finishing works
- Installation of a bespoke reception counter
- Integrated workstation area
- Built-in storage and cupboard units
- Coordination with existing services and access requirements
Existing Reception Area
The original reception arrangement included an enclosed opening between the reception office and the main entrance area.
The existing layout was altered to provide a more open and practical reception arrangement while maintaining the separation required between the reception office and entrance area.
Alteration & Preparation Works
The existing reception opening was modified and the surrounding area prepared for the new installation.
Following the alteration works, the walls and finishes were made good and decorated to provide a clean background for the new reception counter.
Bespoke Reception Counter
A new bespoke reception counter was installed to suit the available space and the operational requirements of the school reception team.
The counter incorporates a front reception desk, raised screen section, rear working area and integrated storage.
Workstation & Storage
The rear section of the counter provides a practical working surface for reception staff, together with storage cupboards and shelving beneath the counter.
The layout was designed to maximise usable workspace while keeping the public-facing reception area clean and uncluttered.
