ETI Dominion House – Commercial Interior Refurbishment
Project Overview
APAC Installations Ltd. carried out a substantial commercial interior refurbishment at ETI Dominion House, involving the removal of the existing internal layout followed by the construction and finishing of the new workspace.
The project included dismantling and removing existing partitioning and the mezzanine floor before progressing through the new internal fit-out works, including new partitioning, suspended ceilings, a bespoke electrical enclosure and pallet racking.
Scope of Works
The works carried out by APAC Installations Ltd. included:
- Dismantling and removal of existing partitioning
- Dismantling and removal of the existing mezzanine floor
- Preparation of the area for the new internal layout
- Installation of new metal stud partitioning
- Formation of new office and internal areas
- Installation of suspended ceiling systems
- Coordination of ceiling and partition layouts with surrounding building services
- Boarding and finishing of the new partition systems
- Decoration and completion works
- Construction of a bespoke enclosure around the existing electrical equipment
- Supply and installation of pallet racking
Strip-Out & Preparation
The project began with the dismantling and removal of the existing partitioning and mezzanine floor.
This allowed the internal area to be stripped back and prepared for the new layout, providing a clear working space for the replacement partitioning, ceilings and associated fit-out works.
New Partitioning
Once the existing installation had been removed, the new internal layout was formed using commercial metal stud partitioning systems.
The partitioning was set out to create the required offices and internal spaces.
Careful setting-out was important to ensure the new walls coordinated correctly with the ceiling system, structural elements and surrounding building services.
Suspended Ceilings
New suspended ceiling systems were installed as part of the refurbishment.
The ceiling grid was coordinated with the new partition layout and the building services above, providing a clean finished ceiling while retaining access to services where required.
Bespoke Electrical Cupboard
As part of the wider refurbishment, APAC Installations Ltd. constructed a bespoke enclosure around the existing electrical distribution equipment within the workspace.
The enclosure was formed to conceal and protect the electrical equipment while maintaining the access required for future inspection and maintenance.
The finished installation provides a much cleaner appearance within the completed interior while integrating the existing electrical infrastructure into the refurbished space.
Pallet Racking
APAC Installations Ltd. also supplied and installed pallet racking as part of the completed project.
This formed part of the wider refurbishment package and provided practical storage within the finished commercial space.
Finishing Works
Following completion of the main partition and ceiling installations, the project progressed through boarding, jointing, decoration and final finishing works.
The result was a completely transformed commercial interior, replacing the previous layout with a clean, modern and practical working environment.

The Completed Project
The Dominion House project demonstrates APAC Installations Ltd.’s ability to undertake commercial refurbishment works from initial strip-out through to the completed interior installation.
By coordinating the partitioning, suspended ceilings, bespoke electrical enclosure, pallet racking and associated finishing works as part of one project, the space could be refurbished efficiently with the different elements working together as a complete installation.
