Commercial MF Ceiling Systems
APAC Installations Ltd. installs metal frame, or MF, ceiling systems for commercial, educational, industrial and refurbishment projects across Sussex and the South of England.
MF ceilings provide a smooth, continuous plasterboard finish and are particularly useful where a traditional suspended tile ceiling is not suitable or where a more architectural finish is required.
The system is formed using a lightweight metal framework suspended from the structure above, with plasterboard fixed to the frame and finished ready for decoration.

Where MF Ceilings Are Used

They are especially useful where ceiling levels need to be controlled, services concealed, or architectural details incorporated into the finished ceiling.
Bulkheads, Drops & Feature Details
MF systems are highly versatile and can be formed into more than just flat ceilings.
We can construct bulkheads, drops, stepped details and other ceiling features to suit the design of the room and the surrounding services.
These details are often used to define areas, conceal ductwork or pipework, form lighting features or create changes in ceiling level.
Fire & Acoustic Performance
Where required by the project specification, MF ceiling systems can be constructed to achieve defined fire or acoustic performance.
The correct combination of metal framing, board type, board layers, fixings, insulation and perimeter detailing must be used in accordance with the relevant tested system.
We do not treat fire-rated or acoustic ceilings as generic constructions. The specified system and installation details must be followed correctly to achieve the intended performance.
Coordination With Building Services
MF ceilings often need to accommodate lighting, air conditioning, ventilation, access panels, detectors and other building services.
We coordinate the ceiling layout with surrounding trades and can form the necessary openings and details to suit the project requirements.
Where access is needed after completion, suitable access panels can be incorporated into the finished ceiling.
Commercial Fit-Out & Refurbishment
MF ceilings are often installed as part of a wider commercial refurbishment or fit-out package.
